La Petite Maison's Cocktail – The Method
WHere is an easy interpretation of a beverage found on our latest cocktail list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed which is packed with the flavours of the Christmas time, rendering it ideal for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial to use in breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Yields 10 people
To make the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Premix (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Cordial: Place the listed items inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, turn off the burner and let it to cool fully. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it and store in the fridge, it can be stored for around one month.
To make Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients in a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain preferably using muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base to a cocktail shaker containing ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Strain into an cold coupe glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
